Local clubs

The best way to learn to unicycle is to join a local club.

There are a few clubs dedicated to unicycling in the UK, but there are also many clubs that practice circus skills which also encourage unicyclists and most have a rider or two in the membership.

This listing is not definitive. A fuller listing of Circus skills clubs may be found at the Juggling Database clubs listing.

Unicycle or circus skills clubs are good places to learn to unicycle, improve your skills and find like minded individuals to share uni games and trips with. This list of clubs has been supplied by UUU members, if you belong to a unicycle club that is not listed here and would like to be, please contact us.

Although we update this list whenever we are notified of changes, the original list was created in April 2002, so local details may change without warning.

Nuneaton Unicycling club, Warwickshire.

St Nicholas church Hall, behind the main library Friday 6.30pm-9.00pm £1.50

Nuneaton Juggling Club is pleased to announce that as well as the juggling club on a Friday evening (see "Circus Clubs" listing below) we will be starting a Unicycling night on Mondays starting from Monday 8th March 2004. This will be from 6:30 to 9:00pm and means we can play unicycle gladiators, unicycle hockey, and maybe even unicycle basketball (when we get the basketball nets).

This will leave Friday nights for the jugglers to juggle in peace with getting knocked down by wayward unicyclists, and means the unicyclists can have the whole session to themselves instead of just the half an hour they have been getting so far.

Nuneaton Juggling Club has been at the same venue since it started over 9 years ago. If you want to join, or just come along on the occasional visit then check us out at www.jugglingclub.co.uk or check out our link at the juggling database clubs page.

EMU - East Midlands Unicyclists, Derby

The EMU is made up of people from Derby Juggling Club, Nottingham Juggling club, Nottingham University Juggling Society and other random unicyclists. The main driving force behind EMU is the love of Unicycle hockey, but they also really enjoy taking their unicycles off road and ride some exciting trails and routes.

Unicycle Hockey: The EMU guys and gals meet every Tuesday at Darley Park tennis courts on City Road, Derby. We play from 8pm to 9pm followed by post match analysis at the local pub.

Mountain Unicycle: The EMU guys and girls frequently partake in a little in the woods action, and meet up in various places for a spot of MUnicycling.
