Well I went, I guess I was one of about 11 other people there.
I got to meet Sarah Miller, Keith and his son Danny, and Brendan again (who confused everyone by not wearing bright red shorts), and also got to meet Dane and Dan (who confused everyone by wearing Brendan's red shorts). Mike Swarbrick popped in half way through, unable to ride due to ankle issues but still good to catch up on some stories.
We got to do various things including the slalom course, a couple of hockey matches and some high jump and long jump challenges, plus a couple of IUF level tests.
As always I didn't really do much, but for some reason my Schlumpf 29er acts like a magnet to other riders despite having a rather high seatpost. A few riders had a try and succeeded in getting the thing going in high gear, especially Brendan who could fluently shift gears up and down on his first go.
All in all, a good day.
The next SWUM will be on Saturday 1st November, with an emphasis on kickstarting freestyle riding in the UK.
