BMW 09 Part 2

The Second part of British Muni Weekends will be held on.

Friday 21st August to Sunday 23rd August

Helvellyn, Lake District, Cumbria.




Location and Accommodation.
I have managed to book a mountain cottage right on the side of Helvellyn with the summit only an hours walk away and the village of Glenridding an enjoyable 1.5 mile ride away.

Riding.
From a base near Hellvelyn there is loads of riding which involves getting to the Summit of Hellvelyn and some awesome down hill decents.

Whinlatter Forest is only 16 miles away with the awesome new Altura trail. http://www.forestry.gov.uk/alturatrail
Grizedale Forest is 17 miles away with the old classic North Face Trail and many other trails of different abilities.

Times
The Cottage is ours from 15:30 on the Friday and has to be clear by 16:00 on the Sunday.

Cost
The Weekend is going to cost £30 per person, for 2 nights stay. We will provide dinner on Friday and Saturday, breakfast on Saturday and Sunday, and food to make yourself a packed lunch for Saturday and Sunday.
There is no charge for those who wish to come just for the day,

As I have already said on the other forum, If my friend can drive by then we will both be there!

This looks good, I've only been riding 6 months but this will really give me something to aim for.
The dates are good so I'm up for it, I'll be coming up from Bedfordshire in a 7 seater so I could offer a few lifts.

Ok the booking forms are here as you might be aware there are only 16 beds in Bell Cottage so the first 16 people will get a bed in the cottage.
For anyone that is unlucky and misses out on a bed, Glenridding YHA is right next door to Bell Cottage but you will have to book yourself a bed.

Please Print of a Form and send them back ASAP

Are there still spaces available at the cottage?
If so, consider me more than interested. If there's a space then I'll have a booking form and cheque in the post asap.

We still have loads of space and would like people to send in booking forms asap.
If i dont get at least 10 people for the cottage I will have to look at cancelling as i wont be able to afford the cottage.

Sorry to keep dragging it out... I should be able to tell you one way or another by the end of this week. I really want to make it, but getting there and getting time off work is proving to be a bit of a pain in the arse.

Bummer - the boss isn't happy with me having more time off so soon after Sleepless, so I'm going to have to say I won't me able to make it Pete. When is somebody going to invent that teleport so I can just nip up there for the ride?

Shame - I've only been to Cumbria once - quick bike tour of the lakes and silly hills (Hardknot, Wrynose etc).

Just to let you knoe their is still loads of space in the cottage for BMW.

I would like to have an idea of whos going by the end of july and for to have an idea i need BOOKING FORMS.

If I am in the country I will come along; I am trying to get seasonal jobs abroad for the summer which could be short notice. I am unlikely to know if I can come untill much nearer the time so hence cannot give you a booking form yet.

i can come to this, but i still need to find transport.

Ok just to let you all know there are now only 5 Spaces left thats right 5 space and they will be going to the first 5 booking forms I recieve.

19:30 Ride down the hill to the pub (if your old enough)

Saturday
I think its going to be an early morning (its going to be a big day)
08:00 - 09:30 Breakfast and make lunch
0930 - 16:00 Leave on one amazing ride

18:00 BBQ if weathers good

Sunday
08:00 - 09:30 Breakfast and clean up cottage
09:30 - ? A good singletrack ride that is down near glenridding
