Woo! We're back on!
Details: 3rd to 5th October, Sandford Holiday Park, Dorset All the usual stuff, plus the fun of being on a holiday park! - pool, go karts etc There are basket ball courts we can use for basketball and hockey, lots of outdoor space, a nice space for freestyle. We're still working on something for trials, and we should be able to use a hall locally for hockey and freestyle if necessary. The area is full of countryside and possible muni rides. Prices are still being finalised but should be cheaper than the previous venue, and roughly in line with previous BUCs. |

We have some slightly bad news to give :-(
The venue we have been liaising with for BUC has written a contract for the event that is very restricting and would severely hinder the fun and success of a BUC if it were to be held there. We have tried to get them to compromise their restrictions and give us less rules and more freedom but this has not succeeded. So we have chosen to cancel the booking with this school in order to prevent a disappointing BUC, however we have not given up! Due to the short time now left until august I think we will have to think about holding it later, like in October, possibly around half term, so that we have enough time to make the event a great success. Sorry for the disappointment, we are just as gutted. But we are still committed to making the event happen this year if at all possible :-) |
| Feb 21 | Looks like we're going ahead for this year ... we've got a nice venue and it's in August so the British weather might give us a break for once? Prices are still to be determined but look likely to be a little higher than previous years. However the price will include accommodation (in a proper bed!) and all meals. |
